Students from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland designed and taught a robotic arm to catch things. Yes, taught. It is interesting how they trained the machine to move how they wanted instead of just coding the movement. This makes the robotic arm (and potentially a lot of coded machinery) much more human, its better than humans. Its 0.002-second reaction time makes it superior than a lot of sports figures, as moreinspiration mentions. It’s a faster Serena Williams. Also, it can be used as a security device catching things from falling or maybe even plat catch with your pet while you are on a trip. :)
