Pittsburgh was pure joy. Sports, beautiful views, an amazing river, the Andy Warhol museum, Carnegie Mellon, the tech boom, and so many more things. Working at Philips Design let me learn how they approach users and emotions. Great tools learned and an amazing talented group of people too! Read my post about some of the summer readings here.
"Sabina’s natural curiosity, eagerness to learn, and positive attitude made her an asset to the Philips Design team during her summer internship as a people researcher. From her first day she jumped right into project work, quickly learning the background, identifying areas where she could apply her existing skills, and adding value that moved the projects forward. In three months at Philips she worked on many aspects of developing and executing research programs including designing protocols, moderating in-home and in-facility interviews, conducting usability assessments for new product development, and collaborating with team members in the development of experience flows that map patient journeys through a number of healthcare scenarios. It was a pleasure to mentor such a committed and curious person in the theory and practices of design thinking and people research, and watch her growth as she put her new skills to work informing new product development for healthcare."
Peter Weeks, Sr. People Research Consultant at Philips Design
